Laboratory Works

At Life Health Care Medical Services, we coordinate and manage clinical laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. While many labs are located within hospitals, we help patients access laboratory services for a wide range of medical needs beyond hospital testing.

Laboratory tests can serve different purposes, including diagnosis, monitoring therapy, and screening. Each type of test has specific requirements to ensure accurate results and appropriate clinical interpretation.

Common Laboratory Tests We Facilitate:
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC): Measures the types and numbers of blood cells, including red and white blood cells and platelets. A CBC evaluates general health, screens for disorders, and helps diagnose conditions like anemia, leukemia, infections, and nutritional deficiencies. It is useful when symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, or bruising are present.
  • Prothrombin Time (PT/Pro Time): Measures how long it takes blood to clot, assessing the presence and activity of clotting factors. PT tests screen for bleeding disorders and monitor medications that prevent blood clots.
  • Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP): Measures glucose, electrolytes, and kidney function markers, including sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, carbon dioxide, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine. This test helps evaluate blood sugar levels, fluid balance, and kidney health, and may be part of routine screenings or medication monitoring. Fasting may be required.
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): Includes all BMP tests plus additional markers to provide a more complete assessment of metabolic functions, with a focus on organ systems such as the liver and kidneys.
  • Lipid Panel: Measures cholesterol and triglyceride levels to assess cardiac risk and monitor heart health.
  • Liver Panel: A series of tests to evaluate liver function and detect potential liver diseases or tumors.
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Screens and monitors thyroid function to detect hypo- or hyperthyroidism.
  • Hemoglobin A1C: Used to diagnose and monitor diabetes by measuring average blood glucose levels over the past 2–3 months.

At Life Health Care Medical Services, we make accessing laboratory services convenient, accurate, and reliable, helping you and your healthcare providers make informed decisions about your health.
